Thanksgiving on the Ranch in West Texas

Over Thanksgiving we went out to West Texas and had a blast. We got to go out to Aunt Linda and Uncle John's ranch. It is amazing. It is way out in the country, very rustic but oh so nice. They have many, many wild animals for pets. Sheldon and his cousin Cameron loved feeding the deer. Linda took us around on the four wheeler and showed us John's cabin. Very impressive. We had a great time.

RA Derby Car Race

The Annual RA Derby Car Race took place in December. Each year Ron & Sheldon work very hard on their car. This year Sheldon's car was red and he called it the 'Cardinal', after the St. Louis Cardinals, which is his favorite baseball team. Where is the loyality to the Astros. Don't worry, Ron & I will continue to cheer for the Astro's.

BOO Bingo at School

At Sheldon's school they had a fun family night, with Bingo. Do you recognize the lady in pink? That is Sheldon's teacher from last year!!! She is so precious.

Sheldon choose to be Albert Pujols. He is on the St. Louis Cardinals and they just won the World Series. He is a Christian and an unbelievable athlete. Sheldon really likes him.

Go Houston Astro's

We love the Houston Astro's!!!

All of you know that we love our Houston Astro's. Well, we got the honor (and were lucky) to go the last home game of this season. We bought super good seats and Sheldon got to bring a friend. It happened to be the last game in the series with the 'Red Birds' (if you watch baseball, then you understand my last sentence). The Rocket, Roger Clemons, was pitching !!! A sell out crowd to over 41, 000. It was amazing!!!! We had a blast. We are very sad that the Astro's did not make to the play-offs next year. However, we are already looking ahead to next year's season. It makes me sad because I am guessing that it will be Craig Biggio's final season. He is my favorite. Anyways, enjoy the pictures.

Houston Astro's beat the Texas Rangers...and we saw it!!!

On Sunday, July 2nd, we had the fun of going to the Ballpark in Arlington with my Dad to watch the big game between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. This is an event that we try to do each summer. We all love it!!! It is always very hot, but so worth it. As you can tell from the pictures, the East Texas McCown's love those Astro's. They are our favorites. We go to the games in Houston as much as we can. We love to meet them and get their autographs. This year we got to meet and talk with Andy Pettitte. He is a pitcher for the Astro's. He is also a Christian, he is one of our favorites. Our other favorites are: Craig Biggio, Brad Ausmus, Roger Clemens, and Lance Berkman. We actually love all of them. At home, we watch them everynight. We are so hooked on Major League Baseball! Of course, watching them last year make it all the way to the World Series. What a ride.
