Summer Visit with Johnson's
Our dear friends... Rocky, Kristie, Anna Beth & Parker moved from our hometown a few years ago. We miss them terribly! This past week we got to spend some time with them. We met them at their church. We LOVE their church. It is so amazing... you can truly feel the Holy Spirit present. What a great time of worship did we have! Rocky leads a worship service for 5th & 6th Graders, so we all attended that with Anna Beth & Sheldon. Then, we all attended the main worship service. We are so thankful for the friendship that God has blessed us with through this family. We love yall and miss you so much! We are thrilled that God is working in your lives. We had a great time. The next day we all meet at Six Flags for some HOT fun! The kids had a blast... not to mention the adults. Enjoy the photo's.
Go Texas Rangers!
Summer is here and going very fast. We are having a great time. Once again a very special thanks to our dear friends, Jeff & Jill... we got to enjoy a great Ranger baseball game. Ron, Tracy & Sheldon watched the Rangers play against the Chicago White Sox. While the Rangers did not win that game, they did take the series. We had a blast. Before the game, we tried to catch some homerun balls in right field. Then, we walked around to all the stores to look at the Ranger goodies. We were so excited about what we found... we found the actual scorecard used in the Rangers dugout for a game that we attended two years ago against the Houston Astro's. We have a sports room in our home and we are going to frame it and it will help us remember the great fun that we had two years ago with PaPa. Biggio is the lead off hitter (he is now retired... and we along with the Astro's miss him). Enjoy the photo's below. Oh, yea ... in case you were wondering what the temperature was that day in Arlington... well, it was a cool 98 degrees at game time. Just a tad bit warm.....Welcome to Texas!!!!!!

All-Stars 2008 Begins
As we conclude the regular baseball season, Sheldon was selected to be a part of the All-Stars Team. Ron will be one of the coaches. 12 boys were selected... what an honor!!! They are practicing a lot and working very hard. They recently played in a practice tournament in our hometown. They won all 5 games! Which means they won the tournament. This team is a truly gifted group of boys. We will begin the Regional Tournament very soon. I will keep you updated on the results. Below are pictures from the Tournament. Give us a call and give Sheldon some encouraging words... I know that he would appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the photo's as much as I do.

Cardinal Baseball Concludes
We have concluded another baseball season. This year Sheldon played on the Cardinals. He wore number 5... imagine that... let's see who is his favorite MLB Player? None other than Albert Pujols -- number 5 for the St. Louis Cardinals. Ron was the assistant coach this year and Mom had fun keeping the scorebook (wait -- did I say that was fun!?!)
The season flew by quickly. The boys fought hard to get in first place and hold it for most of the season. They ended the season in 2nd place, but we are very pleased with that. Sheldon had an awesome year. He is very gifted in baseball and that is his love. Whether he is playing on the field, in the back yard in our huge batting cage, playing catch with his Daddy or playing it on video games... he always wants to be doing baseball. We basically live, eat and breathe baseball. It is a lot of fun!!! Below are few pics from the season. I love digital cameras and have taken more pictures than you have time to look at... so I have just included a few of them. Enjoy!!!

Houston Rodeo
Well, it is Rodeo time again. We made our annual trip to the Houston Rodeo! PaPa, Ron, Tracy & Sheldon once again had a great time. The weather was beautiful. We enjoyed our usual events: lemonice slush (we look forward to this each year), bull riding for Sheldon (be sure to watch the video below), carnival rides (just a few -- check out the video below), riding the trolley around, Sheldon & PaPa fighting over which is better... Ford or Dodge??? These boys are so funny each year... watching them and listening to them argue about it. They should be on a commercial! We ended the evening with an amazing Rodeo. Finally, after so many years of attending the Rodeo, one of the bull riders made it to 8 seconds. This shows you how big these bulls are... this is the first cowboy that we have seen make it. We yelled and cheered for him. Then, last but not least... the concert. This year we got see along with 72, 000 other people......
Rascal Flatts
